In today's fast-paced society, where we face constant demands and increasing pressures, it's more important than ever to prioritize our mental health and our stress levels. While the most common approaches include things like therapy and medication, what if there was another way to improve our mental help and would also have positive impact on our planet.
Doing good, helping others and bettering the community not only benefits the people we help, but it can also hmake a significant impact on our own mental health and wellbeing. The connection between kindness and mental health stems from our natural desire for connection and meaning. Through volunteering or caring for the environment, we build strong bonds within our communities, creating a sense of belonging and contentment.
The positive effects of kindness are further enhanced by the release of neurotransmitters such as serotonin and dopamine, which are associated with happiness and contentment. These “feel good” chemicals not only boost our mood, but also act as a natural defense against stress, anxiety, and depression.
